The Role of Video in Teacher Learning

This research project investigates the ways in which teachers learn as they interact with video in a variety of professional development contexts. We seek to understand both what teachers learn as they view video excerpts of classrooms as well as how this learning takes place. A central focus of the work is to characterize how video influences teachers' professional vision, or the ways in which teachers notice and interpret classroom interactions.
