This project is a 3-year evaluation of a blended model of after-school programming being implemented in a local school district. The model includes both after-school enrichment activities and an intensive, research-based instructional program aimed at improving student performance in English/language arts and math. Through the collection and analysis of survey data, program attendance data, achievement test scores, and focus group and individual interviews, we will identify best practices related to the implementation of the blended model of programming as well as the effectiveness of the model in attracting students to the program and impacts on student achievement in English/language arts and math.
