At present, Dr. Brouillette is involved in a number of projects that focus on instructional leadership at the school site. Her current research interests center on how school leaders can best create a learning environment in which students are supported in developing the intellectual tools needed make sense of experience. She also continues to pursue her interest in charter schools.
Dr. Brouillette also serves as Principal Investigator on a federal professional development grant to prepare secondary arts teachers to integrate writing and critical thinking into their classroom practice. Research associated with the ArtsCore project focuses on the learning that takes place when writing assignments are used to sharpen perceptions and deepen the thinking of students regarding experiences in the arts disciplines.
