Biography

Anamarie Auger is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Education with a specialization in Educational Policy and Social Context. She recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and minors in Education and Religious Studies. Ana is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota.

For the past six summers Ana has worked at a Girl Scout camp in Northeastern Wisconsin. She began working there as a Counselor and then progressed to being the Leadership Director, to finally the past two summers working as the Program Director. Working at the camp helped her shape her interests and discover her passion to be an advocate for youth.

Her research interests include the effects of educational policies on low-income and minority students, educational inequality, and out-of-school programs and activities.
