Eric Chansy, Operations Coordinator for the UCI Writing Project, has earned his certificate of completion from the highly regarded Research and Management Program (RAMP).
The classroom-based RAMP offers a comprehensive, certificated training program that provides campus participants with an improved understanding of regulations, policies, and procedures; strengthens internal controls; and provides access to important resources and contacts when help is needed.
RAMP has consisted of 15 courses that are scheduled multiple times during the year at the main campus and at UCI Medical Center.* In order to earn the RAMP certificate, participants are required to take a total of ten courses: seven required core courses designed to build competencies in basic research administration topics and their choice of three optional courses.
To obtain his certificate, Eric successfully completed the following courses: Principles of Research Administration, Introduction to Proposal Preparation, Proposal Budget Preparation, Pre & Post-award Administration, Introduction to Human Subjects Protection, Ethical Care and Use of Animals, Conflict of Interest in Research, Understanding Contracts and Other Agreements, and Intellectual Property.
*After this year, RAMP will temporarily pause their program until funding is restored.
