DoE Recognition Celebrates 2008-2009 Teacher Credential Candidates
The Department of Education honored Single Subject, Multiple Subject, and Intern/Spring Start Teacher Candidates during the June 4, 2009 Credential Program Recognition Ceremony at the UC Irvine Student Center. Over 800 graduates, family members, friends, University Associates (UAs), faculty, and staff participated in the late afternoon ceremonies.
Following refreshments, participants were welcomed by Chair Deborah Lowe Vandell. Director of Education Susan Meyers also welcomed participants and acknowledged the contributions and support that the university and the graduates had received from faculty members, families, and UA mentor teachers.
Each Intern Program candidate was recognized by Coordinator Karol Gottfredson. Coordinator Christina Giguiere recognized each Multiple Subject Program candidate, and Coordinator Pat McCabe recognized each Single Subject candidate. Director of Student Affairs Judi Conroy provided final congratulations and closing remarks.
