Killybrooke Students Participate in an Art Lesson with Dr. Kim Burge

Students from two classes at Killybrooke Elementary in Costa Mesa, came to UC Irvine for an end-of-year fieldtrip on June 12. The third grade classes of Mrs. Polly Demkiw and Mrs. Kristin Karlin enjoyed a physical education lesson with Lecturer Jeff Johnston and Multiple Subjects Coordinator Christina Giguiere in Aldrich Park as well as an art lesson with Dr. Kimberly Burge in the Department of Education.

UC Irvine Elementary Student Teachers Anita Ip and Tiffany Yee accompanied the classes and assisted during both lessons.  

Mrs. Karlin is a graduate of the UC Irvine Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Credential program. The Department sponsors her class for Killybrooke’s College Readiness program.
