Additional Admission Requirements
Candidates will be required to (a) meet the general admissions
requirements of the UCI Graduate Division and (b) be recommended for
admission by the Program's Joint Graduate Admissions Committee, composed
of program faculty from UCI, CSULA, CSULB, and CPP appointed by the
program's Joint Executive Committee. Selection of candidates for admission
will be made by the Joint Admissions Committee on the basis of such
standards of excellence and criteria as the following:
Note: There will be no foreign language requirement as a criterion
for admission. Students whose research plans require second language
skills, for example, based on interviews with English language learners
and their family members, will be advised to develop those skills
before beginning dissertation research.
The proposed Ed.D. degree requires completion of 80 quarter units
(48 CSU units and 32 UCI units) as described in (i) through (iv) below.
