EDD 621: Leadership of Curricular and Instructional Practices

This course examines current issues in curriculum design and implementation. Through readings and dialogue students explore forces affecting the curriculum, including curriculum continuity and articulation, content trends in the subject areas, appropriate curriculum for students from diverse backgrounds, curriculum censorship, and effective instructional leadership for curriculum improvement.

EDP 708: Leadership of Change in Higher Education

This course considers current research and theories on leadership and organizational change in higher education, including multicultural organizational development theories, planning, and change. Students explore case studies of organizational leadership and change and examine issues, barriers, supports for, and outcomes of change.

This course examines the philosophy, ethics, and moral values of educational leadership for school administrators. Students reflect upon the theory and philosophy of educational change and examine research about ethical and moral leadership in schools.
