Students explore issues related to governance, decision-making, and leadership and research related to the organization and administration of higher education.

Basic theories, attributes, and functions of human organizations are explored. This course emphasizes understanding and managing the dynamics of group behavior and human relations, structuring and leading groups in a variety of organizational settings, and application of organizational theories to central issues in K-12 education and urban schooling.

GED 700: Field Research in Educational Technology/Qualitative Field Study I

This is the first course in a series focused on research on educational technologies in field settings. Students integrate their knowledge of educational technology with a range of analytic tools in designing and conducting a significant field research project. Field research settings include school sites, districts, county departments of education, community colleges, and 4-year colleges and universities.
