Unless it is absolutely necessary, take ONE subtest or at most two on any one test date. Begin with your strongest area of expertise.
Examine the CSET test guide and practice questions at http://www.cset.nesinc.com/CS_testguide_SSopener.asp. Study the subject matter requirements and print out the subtest descriptions. This is the content that needs to be mastered prior to test day.
Invaluable is the History-Social Science framework of relevant courses from which questions are drawn. See www.cde.ca.gov/ci/cr/cf/allfwks.asp 4th (CA) & 7th to 12th grades.
View the History-Social Science content standards: www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/index.asp, all content you will need to master as a Social Science teacher.
