Students

The need to increase the number of highly qualified secondary math and science teachers to educate future generations of world leaders has become a national movement!

The Cal Teach Program offers a series of fieldwork based courses to expose students to the issues and rewards faced by teachers at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels.

Cal Teach welcomes all undergraduates that have an interest in exploring the field of teaching science or math at the secondary level.

Most commonly, students will major in one of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics [STEM] majors which include majors within the School of Biological Sciences, School of Physical Sciences, Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science, and the Henry Samueli School of Engineering.. However, Undecided/ Undeclared students as well as students in a non-STEM major who may be looking to obtain a credential to teach math or science are also welcome to join the Cal Teach program.
