"Valentines for Orangewood Children's Foundation"

Multiple Subject Credential candidates and student representatives (rep) gathered in the Department of Education on February 11 to create 85 Valentine's Day cards for children at the Orangewood Children's Foundation (OCF), a shelter for children who are victims of abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. A Valentine's Day project for OCF has become a yearly undertaking of students in the Multiple Subject program. Multiple Subject Coordinator Christina Giguiere encourages candidates to engage in community service endeavors, citing the benefits to partner institutions, for personal growth, and from hands-on experience in support of academic studies and preparation for future teaching.
