UCI Theme Housing for Future Teachers

UCI offers two on-campus theme houses for students who are interested in exploring education issues and careers. Residents participate in program activities with university faculty and K-12 educators to enhance their knowledge about education and teaching in elementary, secondary, and higher education settings. They enjoy a supportive living and learning community with peers who share similar interests. These theme houses are jointly sponsored by the UCI Department of Education and the Center for Educational Partnerships.

Changing the Future Through Education House

Middle Earth Complex
Open to UCI freshmen

Use the power of education to make a difference! Residents will collaborate with faculty, staff, and others, whose research and program initiatives are making significant impacts on schooling, educational access, and education policy in the US and worldwide. Students will develop their teamwork, leadership, and public speaking skills through a variety of on- and off-campus activities. Learn how your interest in education can be applied to many different careers. Students of all majors are encouraged to apply.
