Multiple Subject Teacher Credential Program

Introduction

The Multiple Subject Teacher Credential Program is a full-time, three quarter program for people seeking careers as elementary school teachers in California, typically kindergarten through 6th grade.

The program is designed to provide a strong grounding in current research and best practices in educational theory. The program prepares teachers to be reflective problem solvers who engage, motivate and meet the needs of all students.

Fees and Support

Students in the Credential and MAT programs pay UCI Graduate Fees.

The Department of Education has a few special scholarships available for its students on a competitive basis. In addition, the UCI Financial Aid and Scholarships Office can assist you with general information about Cal Grant and federal and university loan programs, and other information about financing your graduate education can be found in the Office of Graduate Studies.
