Meet 'n Greet gathers 35 for information about DOE and CFEP at "Careers in Teaching" Theme House
DOE faculty and staff joined Center For Educational Partnerships (CFEP) staff for dinner and conversation with Education Theme House residents at Arroyo Vista (AV) on November 29th. Originally scheduled for October but delayed because of the wildfires, this “Meet and Greet” afforded AV residents an opportunity to learn about course offerings in the DOE and student work opportunities available through CFEP. Throughout the evening, the 35 participants enjoyed a spaghetti dinner and discussed program specific information for the undergraduate Minor in Education, the Credential Program, and the Master of Arts in Teaching. Undergraduates also were informed of employment, service, and community opportunities available through CFEP.
UCI offers housing for undergraduates in two theme house locations: Changing the Future Through Education in the Middle Earth complex, available to UCI freshmen, and Careers in Teaching in the Arroyo Vista complex, available for sophomores and juniors.
