Three OC Teachers, Graduates of UC Irvine MAT Program, Share
Academic and Professional Experiences with Teachers of Tomorrow
Teachers of Tomorrow hosted three Orange County teachers as guest
speakers during the club's winter quarter potluck dinner. All three
teachers were graduates of UC Irvine's Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)
Program and were former officers of the Teachers of Tomorrow
club during their student days.
All three teachers urged club members to complete their Master of Arts
in Teaching degree while pursuing their teaching credential. Jessica and
Kristen agreed with Andrea when she counseled, "Value the MAT for the
education you receive and for what you learn. Don't do it for the money,
even though you will receive a financial benefit."
The teachers closed their presentation with a question-and-answer session.
