2. Parking Meters.
Directions to Department of Education, UC Irvine
From San Diego (Northbound)
- Take 5 North to the 405
- Take 405 North to Culver Dr.
- Turn left on Culver Dr.
- Go to Campus Dr. and turn right
- Go to East Peltason and turn left.
- Go one block and turn right onto Peralta.
- Curve to the right and enter the first parking lot.
- Turn right and then left. At the end of the row are four meters. The two closest to the building are 20-minute meters. The two on the other side are two 2-hour meters. Quarters are required.

From L.A. (Southbound)
- Take 405 or 5 South to Jamboree Dr.*
- Turn right on Jamboree Rd.
- Go to Campus Drive and turn left.
- Go to East Peltason and turn right.
- Go one block and turn right onto Peralta.
- Curve to the right and enter the first parking lot.
- Turn right and then left. At the end of the row are four meters. The two closest to the building are 20-minute meters. The two on the opposite side are two 2-hour meters. Quarters are required.

Behind you is a 3-story building called Berkeley Place. The DOE is located on the second floor of the building on the left(room 2001,tel:949 824-5118).
*Alternate route: Take the 5 South to the 55 South. Exit 73 South. Exit Bison (last exit before toll portion begins).Go left on Bison to Peltason. Turn right on East Peltason. Go several blocks, then turn left on Peralta. Curve right, turn right into the first parking lot and follow the above directions.
