Part-Time Lecturers: Single Subject and Multiple Subject Teacher Credential Programs
During an academic year, the Department of Education may have a need for temporary lecturers in the Single Subject and Multiple Subject programs. These positions usually become available as unanticipated needs arise shortly before the start of each quarter. Generally, the positions are for one quarter at a time and at varying percentages of time, depending on the number and nature of the assignment.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of successful teaching experience at K-12 and/or at the university level. Advanced academic degree and knowledge of California State Framework(s) preferred.
Salary range: Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $39,096 and are commensurate with teaching experience and level of education.
