  • Resume
  • $60 application fee
  • Proof of Subject Matter Competency in one of two ways:  (1) an official California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) score report indicating all required subtests passed,  or (2) an official verification of completion of the appropriate Subject Matter Preparation Program (Single Subject Only).  While subject matter competency is not required in order to apply to the program, in some cases it will be required in order to provide needed evidence of strength in the content area or as a supplement to the academic profile.  Also, because the credential programs are very intensive and time-consuming, it is very difficult to study and pass CSET exams after the program begins.
  • Recommended -  Completion of Education 173 or an approved equivalent prior to enrollment.   There are other courses available to undergraduates that fulfill program requirements.  Talk to a counselor for details.
  • Teacher Experience
