Field and Research Experience Opportunities

The fall 2007 requirements for a Minor in Educational Studies include 40 hours of paid or volunteer field experience or research experience in an educational setting designed for PreK-12 students, college-level students, or adult learners. The 40 hours may be satisfied with more than one type of fieldwork or research experience, but any one experience must be at least 10 hours. (Note: students admitted to UCI prior to fall 2007 need only complete 20 hours of fieldwork.)

A signed fieldwork verification form must be submitted to the Department of Education Student Affairs Office to receive credit for all fieldwork and research hours, except for those approved practicum courses marked with an asterisk (*) below.

Please consult the following sources for field experience and research opportunities. Other fieldwork and research experiences not listed below can be substituted with prior approval via submission of a signed fieldwork verification form.
