Music
In an effective school, musical appreciation and expression are valued and nurtured. It is a unique challenge for music teachers to support the development of artistic attitudes and abilities for all students. Aware of the scope and importance of their charge, UCI single subject music credential candidates will become teacher leaders in schools throughout the region.
A music classroom is also a place to develop literacy skills, and UCI music candidates develop the capacity to build literacy about music as well as the historical cultural context of its production.
