Now more than ever, California students need strong preparation in English-Language Arts in order to enter college and the work force. UCI offers an
outstanding single subject credential program to become an English teacher for service in grades 7-12.
UCI is the home of the regional Writing Project led by Dr. Carol Booth Olson. All English candidates receive their methods preparation from Dr. Olson and become very strong teachers through that preparation.
